Busy bodies

Although it's supposedly summer here in Colorado we have had a very wet and cold June. The good news is that everything is still very green, but the bad news is that we haven't been outside as much as we'd like. Such is life. We have also had two tornado warnings where we headed to the basement to wait out the storms. A first for us!!

We are getting ready for our road trip to Dayton, WY where Ryan will run his 50K trail race http://www.bighorntrailrun.com/!! He has been training for a long time and doing such a great job. We can't wait to see him run and finish this great race!!

Anyway, here are several pics from the last couple weeks.... enjoy!

Matigan and Sarah have been "playing" together more often and it's so great to see!

Mommy's little helper. And by helper I mean, lick the spoon and bowl clean.

Matigan standing near her very own flowers. We planted them together and she waters them every day.
We set up our new tent (great Christmas gift Nana and Bubba!) so that Matigan and Ryan could "camp" in the yard. They came inside at 2am... oh well, next time!

Matigan's imagination is starting to take off. Here she and Sarah are in her car on their way to the beach.
and now they're off to a party

Last week Ryan came home from work to surprise us with flowers! He got these purple ones (not sure why they look pink in the picture) for Matigan (her favorite color this week) and I got a beautiful bouquet of mixed flowers. What a sweet guy!!!
Matigan joined me for "girls breakfast" at Snooze downtown Denver where we met up with her Godmother, Jen. We had a great time.
Ryan was very busy this weekend building this awesome planter box for a vegetable garden! Now, if only one of us could find a green thumb! Oh well, have to start somewhere, right? Matigan had a great time running in the dirt once it was finally filled.
