Celebrate the little things

I know that our blog posts have been few and far between lately, hopefully 2014 will bring more consistent updates.

The girls are loving their new school and have adjusted so very well!

Matigan is in 2nd grade and with the transition in schools we have learned that she was a little bit behind the curve of her new class.  Not a problem for Matigan however, she has the most fantastic teacher and the growth that we have seen over the first half of the school year is almost mind-boggling!  Matigan has set very high goals (OK, well maybe the teacher and her parents have set some of the goals) and has worked very, very hard and the results are amazing!  Today we received this email from her teacher:

       " Tiffany and Ryan,

Matigan is receiving a BIG rock and roll for exceptional work ethic
and high goals this trimester.  I am really proud of her focus.  She
is definitely bringing her A game!

Katie"

Sometimes we get bogged down in the day-to-day tasks that life throws at us and I'm so incredibly grateful for Matigan's teacher to take the time to share the good things with us.  It's important to celebrate the little successes in life.  The hard work shall continue and there is much room for growth, but we are so proud of our Matigan!  Way to go honey!!
