Dance Fever

Last Thursday Ryan, Sarah Corinne and I were honored and proud to attend 'Dare to Dance' at Matigan's school.  This was Matigan's first "performance" of sorts and she was super excited.  Every day she talked about the program and couldn't wait to have us in the gymnasium watching her.

We sat in the first of two rows of chairs on one side of thy gym.  We asked the PE teacher where Mrs. Kinglesy's class would be and the teacher replied, "who is your child"?  "Matigan".  "Oh, she's right here" she says walking several steps towards the center of the gym.  Yes, the teacher knew exactly where each student would be standing (and there were over 60 First Graders!).  Long story short, we watched our little lady dance and sing and smile and stay focused and proud throughout the 30 minute show.  To say we were proud didn't do it justice.  (And, yes, I know she's only 6 and in First Grade and there will be many, many more of these types of shows to come.  However, Ryan and I were beside ourselves with joy for that "First Time performance").  The PE and Music teachers at the school did such a fabulous job with the kiddos!

I took many videos and here are small clips of a few of the dances.  Matigan is in the pink striped sweater and jeans in the middle of the screen. (Hint: you can watch on You tube by clicking on the You Tube logo. You can also adjust the settings by clicking on the settings icon and selecting the highest quality)

Matigan, we are proud of you and loved watching you Dare to Dance!!
