Needless to say, after a quick exchange at the store and some hard work, Matigan's bike was ready for a test ride. She has been doing fairly well with her tricycle but we discovered that the ability to pedal backwards on a trike made the real bike quite a challenge for our little girl. After only about 10 minutes trying we were all startled by a loud BANG and we jumped! Although the noise sounded a lot like a gun shot we realized it was the rear tire exploding. And thus the end of our bike riding lesson for the day. Oh well, until next time!
On Sunday we packed up the girls and our gear for a fun-filled day at Water World. Although we were unsure how the girls would do at the park we were pleased to learn that we all had a blast! We met up with Jen and Mike (Matigan's godparents) and Jen's sister Courtney and we all had a ball riding the tubes and sliding and playing in the pools! The Mason/Drolet clan were such troopers with Matigan and Sarah and such a big help!!Although we had more fun in the morning than anyone thought imaginable, the day of fun was not over! We took quick naps and showered up and headed down to City Park in Denver for Jazz in the Park. We were joined by Jes and Jen Rasumussen and Jen, Mike, and Courtney. We had a groumet picnic feast and played Frisbee (or as Matigan says, "Frowsbee"), and hide-and-seek. All in all it was such a great day with family and friends!!

Matigan has suddenly taken an interest in being more of a "girly girl" and wanted her toes painted like mine.
