Road trip to Albuquerque

After a quick trip to Albuquerque to be with my dad, Mary Pat and Dustin (Mary Pat's son) we are back home.

For those of you who haven't heard, Tiff's step-brother Dustin was in a serious car accident on Sept 28th while heading to Albuquerque to catch a flight to attend his brother Forrest's funeral. Dustin was taken via helicopter to the trauma center in Albuquerque where he remains in the Neuroscience ICU. For information about Dustin you can check: www.rickandmarypat.blogspot.com

Tiff's dad and Mary Pat remain in NM along with their Pastor, Anita, Dustin's girlfirend Nerina and her mother. Although this is a very difficult time for them, they are showing remarkable strength and courage. We ask that you keep them all in your thoughts and prayers as Dustin embarks on a tremendous battle of survival.

As for the Welch clan, we are just feeling incredibly blessed and loved. We were so happy that we were able to drive to Albuquerque and be with dad and Mary Pat for a few days and help out in any way possible. Matigan and Sarah put smiles on so many people's faces in the hospital. And Matigan loved visiting "Alba Turkey" and seeing her grandma and grandpa.
