Wow! It's COLD outside

We have had frigid temps here in Lafayette, CO this week.  Tuesday school was cancelled because it was so very cold.  Of course my dentist didn't cancel my appointment.  The numbers on the dash of the car made me take a double-take (knowing that the temps on the car are typically 2 or 3 degrees warmer than actual temps). 

I think today it finally reached 20 degrees (huge improvement this week!). 

Yesterday morning it was -9 (yes, that is negative 9) outside.  While we were getting the ready for school and work Ryan tried out a little science experiment.  He put boiling water in a mug and headed outside.  He tossed the water into the air and POOF it immediately turned into a gas and formed a cloud.  The girls loved, loved, loved to watch!!!
